2007 Chateau Palmer |
HKD $1,550.00 |
Tasted at BL Wine & Spirits' 10-Years-On tasting, the 2007 Palmer has an opulent bouquet for the vintage, something almost Mediterranean tincturing the lifted red berry fruit laced with sage and even a suggestion of oregano... Palmer is the place to come, thought maybe it has just dispensed a little of its luster...

2012 Chateau Palmer |
HKD $2,100.00 |
Chateau Palmer is one of the vintage's superstar. Opaque purple, with a gorgeous nose of blueberry, blackberry fruit, licorice, incense and graphite, the wine has a multi-dimensional, skyscrapper-like richness, stunningly well-integrated acidity, tannin, wood, and alcohol, a finish of close to 45 seconds and a full-bodied mouthfeel. This is a great wine...

2008 Chateau Palmer |
HKD $1,700.00 |
A stunning success for the vintage, and possibly the Margaux of the year, this wine, which achieved 13.5% natural alcohol, is a blend of 51% Merlot, 41% Cabernet Sauvignon and 8% Petit Verdot... It is full, rich, layered, and should be reasonably approachable with 3-4 years of bottle age, and will also keep for 30+ years.

2010 Alter Ego de Palmer |
HKD $630.00 |
An equal-part blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2010 Alter Ego represents 50% of the crop at Palmer. It has been an interesting second wine to take note of ever since the first vintage in 1998. The 2010 displays loades of chocolaty espresso notes, with plenty of punch, glycerin and unctuosity as well as some tannin like its bigger sister...

2010 Chateau Palmer |
HKD $2,850.00 |
The 2010 Palmer is one of the superstars of the vintage... Full-bodied, with oodles of glycerin but a relatively healthy pH, this wine has a precision and freshness that belie its lofty alcohol and extravagant concentration. This is a sensationally rich, full-throttle Palmer that could well end up being one of the all-time great...

2012 Alter Ego de Palmer |
HKD $570.00 |
Another brilliant example from administrator Thomas Duroux and his team, the intense second wine, Palmer's 2012 Alter Ego, offers up plenty of blackberry and creme de cassis notes along with some spring flowers, licorice and subtle background oak. Opulently textured, full-bodied and stunning, this is an outrageously successful second wine to drink over the next 12-15 years.
